I passed the 3,000 song mark today, as well as moved out of the F's and into the G's.
There was a great moment today when "Funny How Love Can Be" by The Ivy League came on. I had probably heard that song on radio several times throughout my life, but never really knew what it was. I certainly didn't know that I had the song. Once again, I can thank this project for showing me good stuff I never knew I had.
Appropriate that the day The Beatles finally appear on iTunes that I get four versions of "Get Back," but I also heard "Getting Better" from Sgt. Pepper. I think you can only download two versions of "Get Back" from iTunes... Though I didn't bother to really look to see if they had the Anthology series or Let it Be... Naked available for purchase. I already have everything on CD. I don't need it again.
More personal favorites from today:
- "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers
- "The Game of Love" by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders
- "Garden Party" by Rick Nelson
- "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles
- "Get a Job" by The Silhouettes
- "Get it Right the First Time" by Billy Joel
- "Ghost in this House" by Alison Krauss
- "The Ghost of Tom Joad" by Bruce Springsteen
- "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky" by Johnny Cash
Clapton's Further on up the Road from Blues is killer!! That is Freddie King on the 2nd guitar...amazing jam!
