Notes:
The R's were wrapped up yesterday, so keep an eye out for the statistics which will be up soon.  At first glance, I'm estimating that I have 1,400 S songs.  If I remove 100 of those for duplicates, and divide by 95 songs (my average is 88 per day), it'll take me almost 14 days to get through them all.  Lots of S songs...
I got to hear another track from my EP as well in "Saturday Night Alibi."

Not a whole lot of notes for Wednesday aside from the fact that I really enjoyed hearing both versions of "Run So Far" together.  George Harrison wrote it, and it's been one of my favorites from Clapton's Journeyman and when I got Brainwashed I was delighted to hear that Harrison had included his version on that record.

Notes:
I didn't know I had three versions of "Respect."  The version by The Rationals was more a cover of Otis Redding's version.  I should hit 8,000 songs on Tuesday, and likely get out of the R's by Thursday.  The S's should take quite a while.  Here are my favorites from Friday:

Notes:
I hit 7,500 songs on Monday.  "Pisces Fish" by George Harrison from Brainwashed takes the honor there.  I was unaware that I had four different versions of "Pinball Wizard."  The New Seekers version was decent, and the originals from The Who & Elton John are both fantastic.  The real surprise was the Rod Stewart version, which featured full orchestration and a choir taking up all the backing vocals.  Very odd and interesting.
Lots of great music again on Monday.  Here are my favorites:
  • "Photograph" by Ringo Starr
  • "Piano Man" by Billy Joel

Notes:
76 of the 108 songs from yesterday started with the word "One."  That may be one of the higher words in the first words category.  Songwriters seem to like themselves.  "I" was very popular (over 400 songs) as well.  I'm curious to see how "You" fares, but we won't know the answer to that for a few months.
Lots of great music yesterday, and it looks like I'll get out of the O's on Wednesday.  P & Q should be fairly quick as well.  Here are my favorites from yesterday:

Notes:
Once again, even through over 100 songs, there were not a lot of covers & alternate versions to speak of from Friday.  I did get through the N's, and six tracks were "NPG Operator" from Prince's Gold Experience.  Total track time on all of those were a whopping 2:16.  Album filler is interesting when not in the context of the album it was meant for.
I hit song #7,000 on Friday, which was a bit of an oddball, "A Nugget of Joy from Zorak" from Space Ghost's Musical Bar-B-Que.
Here are my favorites from Friday, with the N statistics to follow later today:
