I had two of my own songs played for me today from the CD I released a few years ago. Both "Honey Just Stay With Me One More Night" and "The Horsemen" played today. It was nice to hear them again. I don't generally listen to my own stuff too often.
I'm a bit surprised that the ghost of Carl Perkins didn't come through the speakers and rip my ears off today. After "Honey, Don't," I had to endure "Honey, Honey" by ABBA and then "Honey, I'm Home" by Shania Twain. I think the only saving grace was the fact that it was preceded by "Honey Pie" by The Beatles. I also must note that The Beatles recorded a version of "Honey, Don't" on Beatles For Sale, but I listened to it on Friday. The comma did not appear after Honey in their title on my iTunes, so it was pushed higher in the list.
Here are some favorites from today:
- "Honey Hush" by Big Joe Turner
- "Honky Cat" by Elton John
- "Honky Tonkin'" by Hank Williams
- "Hoodoo Man" by Eric Clapton
- "Hoodoo Voodoo" by Billy Bragg & Wilco
- "Hopes Too High" by Tift Merritt
- "Hotel California" by The Eagles
- "The House is Rockin'" by Stevie Ray Vaughan
- "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals
- "Houses of the Holy" by Led Zeppelin
Ooka-shaka, ooka-shaka!!
