Yesterday may have been the first day since I started that I only had one song by multiple artists. "Pretty Boy Floyd" is one of my favorite Woody Guthrie songs, and I love all three versions I heard yesterday.
In case anyone out there is wondering about the two versions of "Poor Jenny," they were both recorded on the same day - one before lunch and one after - and are in different keys and tempos.
Here are my favorites from yesterday:
- "Poison Ivy" by The Coasters
- "Politician" by Cream
- "Polythene Pam" by The Beatles
- "Poor Little Fool" by Ricky Nelson
- "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" by Linda Ronstadt
- "Portobello Belle" by Dire Straits
- "Positively Fourth Street" by Bob Dylan
- "Possession" by Sarah McLachlan
- "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis & The News
- "Power to the People" by John Lennon
- "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" by Kay Kyser & His Orchestra
- "Prelude/Angry Young Man" by Billy Joel
- "Presence of the Lord" by Blind Faith
